Our Troop’s storied history would not have been possible without decades of dedicated adult volunteer support.  Bringing our parent volunteers together in a variety of roles supports Scouts and builds a vibrant Scouting community with new friendships all around.

Advancement Coordinator

Maintains the troop’s database of all advancement records, secures badges/other awards for recognitions and assists with Courts of Honor.

Assistant Scoutmasters

Assist the Scoutmaster with his responsibilities; provide recommendations to the Scoutmaster for creating a fun-filled, rewarding and well-organized Boy-led Scouting program; mentor scout leaders; assist scout leaders at meetings, outings and events.

Board of Review Coordinator

Organizes Boards of Review for rank advancements, recruits and trains adults to conduct troop board of reviews and records and summarizes any key feedback from scouts’ Board of Reviews.

Coordinate between the troop and the Chartered Organization.

Court of Honor Coordinator-Ceremony

Coordinate the upcoming year’s Courts of Honors, working with the scouts who lead the program, Scoutmaster for program element and the Advancement Coordinator for earned recognitions.

Den Chief Coordinator

Oversee the scout Den Chiefs who work with Cub Scout packs. Review Den Chiefs’ activities and provide coaching.

Eagle Coordinator

Act as a resource for Life Scouts preparing to work on the Eagle rank.  Advise Life Scouts on the process of attaining the Eagle rank.  Advise Life Scouts on Eagle service projects and provide guidance on paperwork preparation.

Maintain medical form notebooks with the original records of all medical authorization forms

Our membership coordinator helps new members to navigate the membership process, including new scout registration and membership renewals, collection of required medical forms, and updating of our Troop roster over time.

Enlist adults to become Merit Badge Counselors; ensure troop has at least 2 counselors per Eagle‐required merit badge.

Coordinate all Order of the Arrow activities within the troop.

Our recruiting coordinator organizes Troop 236’s recruiting activities throughout the year, sharing Troop 236’s story with prospective Scouts and parents and creating ways for potential new Scouts to get to know our community.

Scoutmaster

The Scoutmaster is the adult responsible for working directly with Scouts, providing inspiration, direction, coaching, and support.  Our Scoutmaster has introduced new programming to our Troop including rock climbing and a strengthening of our community service programs.

Keep accurate troop financial records and handle all troop funds and maintain all bank accounts.

Troop Committee Chair

The troop Committee Chair leads our adult volunteers and ensures that all adult committee functions are carried out in compliance with BSA policies, procedures, and best practices. Our Committee Chair is the glue that holds our Troop unit together by helping us to stay organized, financially strong, and by welcoming new parents as volunteers and participants in our community.
