Scouting has been a great experience for me. I like Troop 236 because it has given me the opportunity to make a lot of terrific new friends, many of which I would probably never have met without Scouting. Everyone you will meet in Troop 236 will be very nice and fun-loving, and I know you will probably make good friends too. You will meet so many amazing people with scouting. I am looking forward to building these friendships further over the years to come.
I also like scouting because of all of the amazing outings we go on. They can range from an hour of community service, to a week away camping. All of the outings are super fun, especially Camp Wente, Troop 236’s summer camp tradition, where you get to go hiking, fishing, canoeing, and much more. What’s even better is that we have these outings often, typically at least once per month if not more. Troop 236 outings give Scouts the opportunity to learn outdoor skills and get to know the members of your patrol and Troop even better. (A. Wachowicz, 2022)
